Are you regularly in need of a plumber? Who just never happens to have time when it's urgent? Or do you regularly pay way too much money for minor repairs? How nice would it be if you could carry out some minor repairs yourself! The ‘Openbare Werkplaats’ has developed a course especially for horeca entrepreneurs and their staff. You will learn which jobs you’ll be able to work on yourself and when it would be best to call in a professional. There will be plenty of time for questions and to discuss and practice practical examples.

Duration: 1 half day from 13.00 to 17.00 hours.
Aim: to learn the basics of plumbing
Target group: entrepreneurs and employees in the horeca who want to be able to carry out minor and urgent plumbing jobs.
Level: Basic (we’ll plan in an advanced course if there is sufficient interest)

Course content

Introduction to drainage (sewage & toilets)
Introduction to clean water (pipes)
Blockages and leaks
Sanitary repairs (cisterns, toilet seats and taps)
Machines: various hand tools

The course will include all materials. Wear some older clothes and possibly a warm sweater. It’s a maximum of 16 degrees in the workshop.

The courses are partly demand-driven. The order of the topics and the attention devoted to each section may vary depending on the participants’ needs.
